3.1 Bad Moon On The Rise

Heeeeeeey! Welcome back everybody to the first installment of Generation 3! Who's ready? I AM! So let's goooooooooooo.

Supernatural has just been installed and the Goths freshly moved to the new town of Moonlight Falls. Caitlyn McIrish--Beau's future spouse--made the move with them.

Also, my default replacements are gone for the first few shots. I thought I'd put the folder back in, but I didn't. <--failsauce

I stopped playing on Beau's birthday, so first thing's first . . . Double Birthday Action!

Most of the family managed to turn out to celebrate. Bella's being a little slow coming in the house, and I'm not entirely sure where Dierdre is at the moment . . .

Meanwhile, across the street . . . BROOM! I'm pretty sure that's the Bewitched-style family, I dunno their names though. I remember that her--the mother-in-law--last name is Caliente and that's about it, lol.

Freshly aged up, I give you Caitlyn McIrish-soon-to-be-Goth! I gave her freckles, and I totally cheated her lifestate into a witch. I FEEL NO GUILT OR REGRET! :P Now to see if she'll do witchy stuff on autonomy . . .

And then I backed out of the game and replaced my defaults. Just wanted to show you guys a comparison, so you could see how much prettier she is. OMG. I love her face.

Now that she's part of the household, her stats are as follows;

Her traits are Genius, Perceptive, Coward, Artistic and Brooding. She'd make an excellent Private Investigator but unfortunately that can't be done on autonomy. So I made her LTW Master of Mysticism instead, which is to reach the top of the Fortune Teller-Mystic Branch. Her favorites are Country Music, Spaghetti and the color White.

Our new Torch-Holder, Beauregard Goth! Pre-default-replacement-replacement.

And after. <3! The stinky-face is due to the fact that everyone in the room was suddenly thinking about the pool. Hydrophobic Beau did not appreciate that.

He got the Nurturing trait locked in due to his grades resetting from the new town, but since he's gonna be a stay-at-home daddy that works well. I also switched out his LTW from One-Sim-Band to Alchemy Artisan instead, because I want to play with the new Supernatural features. :P A little guilt on that one, but I'll get over it, lolol.

After the cakes were cleared, we went into build/buy mode and the Goth Manor got some new perks and pick-me-ups. An awesome grandfather clock and a jelly bean bush.

The exercise room gets converted into Beau's alchemy chamber. Also with a magic mirror and more importantly a Bonehilda Coffin because YES, that's why. >:D

A magic broom for Caitlyn's preferred mode of transportation.

Mortimer, Gunther and Cornelia made the move with the family but I left the rest of the ghosts behind. Just too much hassle. You'll also notice the spa area is gone. Stupid sauna stopped working AGAIN, and I've yet to get it back. Just as well, I suppose, I'll need the space to build a small mausoleum anyway. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I will. Eventually. XD

For now the graves just sit out on the lawn all lazy-like.

One of Beau's first tasks as Torch Holder was to summon their new maid from her coffin. And as you can see in the background, one of Cassandra's first tasks on autonomy was to start getting frisky with her husband.

I swear, these sims can't be trusted with autonomous woo-hoo . . .

Hello Bonehilda! I love this addition, especially for my Goth family. I might not use her in any other save, but she'll definitely be a staple in this one.

Aaaaand guess where Cass and Jarrod go to woohoo. >_< That's supposed to be Beau and Caitlyn's bed. CUT THAT CRAP OUT YOU GUYS!! That is NOT the type of family tradition we need in this legacy.

Beau and Caitlyn are getting Mortimer and Bella's old room, and Bella's moved in with her granddaughters instead.

She doesn't mind, of course. She's too busy checking out all the new objects and being adorably excited.

I exercise my ability to have Caitlyn sign up for her intended career, and she zooms off on her broom. :D That thing is pretty darned fast, too.

Off to the gypsy wagon! I rather like this addition, the rabbit hole is super cute and I like how it's parked out at the edge of town.

Meanwhile, while Cait is seeing to that, Beau heads off to the Vault of Antiquity to take a class in the Alchemy skill. After that he zips on over to City Hall to sign up as a self-employed Alchemist. I won't really be focusing on promotions, but any extra simoleons never hurt.

While Caitlyn waits to be summoned back home, she surprises and delights me my autonomously conjuring herself an apple. She probably won't ever do enough magic to get very skilled at it, but I'm glad that she can.

I'll have to watch her inventory when she gets preggers though. Something tells me she'll be having nothing but boys if I don't, lolol.

Then her coward trait started coming out. Caitlyn is another sim that makes the cutest faces. End result being that I kinda spam screenshots of her sometimes.

Intense look of disgruntlement is intense.

Then she sat down in the dirt and contemplated the hollowness of her life. LOL, Brooding trait ftw.

Beau finally got home from his errands and called her back home at last. And then he decided to try a jelly bean.

He got an Oddly Powerful moodlet from it, which I think would have increased his athletic skill faster if he'd been so inclined. :P

I decided to put down a pea-shooter just for the fun of it.

Turned out to be a bad idea. For some reason it instantly turned the paparazzi outside into a zombie. Who then started shambling forward to attack it. -_-

Nooooooo!! You suck, zombie!! >_< I reset the zombie and replaced the pea-shooter.

Darn, I was hoping Caitlyn's coward trait wouldn't react to Bonehilda.

No such luck, as you can see.

Luckily Beau was on hand to distract her. Our TH starts laying down the smooth-moves, intent on securing the future generations.

meanwhile Cassandra and Jarrod are STILL going at each other like bunnies, but at least they've moved their activities into their own bedroom for now.

This is when I decided that the pea-shooter was causing the problems. A new paparazzi showed up--a fairy no less--and immediately turned into a zombie and started attacking it. I deleted her, deleted the pea-shooter and haven't had a glitch-zombie since.

So, kinda sad that I can't have one on the lot, but I can deal without the peashooters for now I suppose.

Darkness fell, but Beau was still hard at work with his wooing.

With satisfactory results. ;)

Some sweet hand-holding under the stars.

And a confirmation of boyfriend/girlfriend status. That's enough for one night, since Caitlyn's about to pass out.

Beau heads off to get started researching alchemy. All of his motives are full, thanks to him taking the Goth-Mobile around town earlier on his errands.

That's when I noticed the paintings in the alchemy room had indeed changed with it being night-time. I was SO excited about this feature, and I was not disappointed.

Beau stepped outside to give the gem cutter a test run.

Note to self and others. Do not do this at night. Stoopid thing will wake up every sim on the lot. >_< I don't see how it can be THAT loud, but whatever.

Cornelia came out to give us a visit that night. Glad to see the ghosts return.

Early the next morning, Good Guy Beau made breakfast for the family.

And he re-summoned Bonehilda to hopefully get her cleaning done before Caitlyn woke up.

I lol'd when I caught Cassandra trying to sneak up on someone to scare them. I think it was one of the twins, but her car pool showed up and cancelled the action before she could get to them.

I was also happy to see that Cuddlebones gave Caitlyn the Familiar moodlet even though they don't have a very high relationship yet. So when he passes on, the Goths will probably be getting another cat in order to take advantage of that for her and any witch babies they might will have.

It's a fine day in Moonlight Falls, the kids are off to school . . . it's hot-tub time for Jarrod. At least he's got his swim trunks on this time, lol.

After Cass got back from work she tried to enthuse about cats to her mom, but Bella wasn't terribly interested. :(

Then Bella tried to enthuse about their new house, but thanks to her apathy toward felines, Cass was quick to shut her down. Well Bella, that's your own fault . . .

Then Cassandra tried to mastermind a plot to her mom . . . and that went over about as well as you'd expect, given that Bella is GOOD.

She then got ticked off and Accused of Being Evil. For some reason this was news to her, I guess.

Aww, poor Cass! She looks so SAD! Bella, stop being a poopie-head to your daughter!

For some reason the twins decided they didn't want to come home from school that day. -_- I had to wait until Caitlyn got home from work before I called them home, since I didn't want her work que to cancel.

Just Beau, doin' some alchemies . . . . UNGH that FACE! . . . I <3.

Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble . . .

Bella and Dierdre had a few bonding moments out at the juice bar. Mr. Tumnus the Freezer Bunny Gnome was there to lend his support as well.

Beau got sent down to the Alchemy shop to check out what they had for sale and put the elixer he'd just made up for consignment. I was shocked to see a freezer-bunny sealed in a fermented jar. O_o Scary . . .

Aaaand of course we can't have a chapter without at least ONE fail. -_- Thank you very much, Cassandra.

Bonehilda walked through the bedroom to clean the bathroom beyond and it woke Caitlyn up out of a sound sleep, sending her running and screaming from the room in terror. This annoyed me to no end. Since I want Bonehilda to be their permanent maid, I made the decision to replace Caitlyn's Coward trait with Cat Person.

I then deducted 10 points from my score, since it's a straight-up cheat. Trying to keep things at least somewhat fair. :P

Well that's it for this installment! Sorry for the long delay, I hope this new chapter was worth it! I still can't guarantee when the next one will be, since the next expansion of World of Warcraft comes out very soon and that will likely steal me away for quite some time . . . but as always, this and my other sims stories are never truly forgotten. Stick with me, I promise I'll be back soon!

Until then, Happy Simming!
