4.5 The Snowman Dynasty

Welcome back all! We've got another episode of Goth-Sanity raring to go, so by all means, let's let this hauss out of the gate shall we?

And I mean that almost literally, as we begin with little Kensi learning to walk.

Elsewhere in the house, little Joce plays with some blocks . . .

JOCELYN - My nemesis is receiving attention from mother . . . this displeases me. *slams blocks*

Icky . . . I appreciate that you want to read and better yourself and all, but is a pregnancy book really appropriate material for a kid your age? O_o

JOCELYN - Stahp watching the others! Pay attention to meeeee!

Now, now missy. There's no quicker way to get on my bad side than to start whining when there's nothing wrong with you.

Honour's still working on her skills, ususally while Kensi is sleeping. She downs a few Skill Booster potions to help out.

Now that her painting is mastered, she's moved on to Alchemy--mostly to continue and replenish all the potions that she's used. I tell you, they come waaaay in handy for an ISBI. If I was being more strict I might even say they're a bit cheat-y.

BELLA - Hello boys! What're we watching tonight?

BEAU - Gramma? *Nerd-Plus*

CHIMAERA - Awweh, you interrupted my favorite part! *pout*

Kensington would just like to remind everyone that he's ridiculously cute. Just in case you might have forgotten. And throwing out Blue Steel while still in the crib, I have high hopes for this one's future. :P

But first! It's finally time for Jocelyn to say goodbye to toddler-hood and hello to freedom! (and endless requests for bedtime stories).

She ages up quite successfully, still a little cutie pie in direct contradiction to her evil-ness. She rolls up the Easily Impressed trait as well.

JOCELYN - That park-bench you sat on still had wet paint and you just ruined your coat HAH!

BEAU - Nuu not my favorite coat!

One of her very first actions was to go scare the crap out of her poor elderly grandpa. Be careful there, Joce, Beau's nearing the high end of the 90's in his age bar. Caitlyn died right at 90 days, but so far Beau's been hanging on.

KENSI - Fishies!

HONOUR - What're you tryin' to say, mister? Are you saying mommy is cold and slimey?!

Uh, no Honour, I'm pretty sure he's just repeating whatever it is you told him a second ago. -_- Our TH is teaching the final baby his last skill, in her own special crazy-pants fashion.

ICHABOD - I heard mommy say that you're a Master Alchemist. That's pretty cool, Grampa Beau.

BEAU - I like this one. He doesn't try to cause me incontinence.

Speaking of Lil Miss Evil. Her Couch-Potato trait is probably the most dominant right now. 9 times out of 10, this is where she can be found; plopped in front of the living-room TV playing video games or watching said TV.

Ichabod decided that I didn't have enough gray hairs and went to go splash puddles in the middle of a thunder storm. -_-

And then Jocelyn joined him outside for a nice conversation about TV shows. Seriously, guys?! Let's just jeopardize the entire legacy by killing off two of our heirs in one fell swoop . . .

Physical proof that Honour completed maxing out the Painting skill, along with her adorable picture with Chi.

Winter has come to Moonlight Falls, and Beau celebrates that in the time-honored tradition set down by his grandmother Bella - a nice, mixed fruity drink.

PONGO - Hey, you got anything down there for doggie-gnomes?

MR. TUMNUS - *suffocates*

Then it was back in the nursery to interrupt Kensi's nap with some Attack of the Claw action.

JOCELYN - Grandpa thinks he can ignore me and play with my nemesis without retaliation, but I'll show him! I'll scare him so bad this time that his undies will become toxic waste!

BEAU - I suddenly have a bad feeling . . .

Given that there's a little minion behind you, that feeling is probably accurate.

JOCELYN - RAWR!

BEAU - Aaaaahkjpwergeg!

BEAU - Oh dear . . .

JOCELYN - My work here is done.

But then Beau got himself some epic revenge, hitting his granddaughter where it hurt.

JOCELYN - What the crap?! What happened to my high score!

BEAU - Pwned!

Only in a Goth Legacy house would it be common place to enjoy a bowl of yogurt breakfast with the ghost of your great-great-great grandmother. :P Cornelia had a bite to eat with Ichabod during her haunt that night.

Despite her evil ways, Jocelyn earns some brownie points for herself by autonomously helping out with some cleaning here or there. I've gotten into the habit of dismissing Bonehilda unless something is broken. Beau likes to clean things up anyway, and this keeps her from setting out endless quick-meals or bugging the baby.

Speaking of baby . . . fun time in the toy-box? Check.  c:

And Jocelyn is right back to scaring her family members. At least Beau is spared this time. Ichabod is the unlucky one instead.

ICHABOD - Joce! That wasn't funny! I'm gonna go tell mom!

JOCELYN - Good luck with that, whiney-pants. Even if she did stop messing with the Alchemy Station long enough to listen to you, I doubt she'd care.

Hey, she's not that bad . . . . *shifty eyes*

In order to stop the impending fight between his two eldest, Chimaera stepped in and put his own 'special' brand of parenting into effect.

CHIMAERA - See kids? Isn't this so much better than arguing?

ICHABOD - . . . what does watching you play video games have to do with Jocelyn scaring me?

JOCELYN - *hypnotized by the pixels*

Beau randomly decided to go out and build a snowman in his old garden. He was successful and I was amused. :P

HONOUR - Ok, Chi. Stand still now, I'm gonna use some of my Super-Special-Magic-Powerz on you.

CHIMAERA - Uh, baby . . . ? I-I'm not entirely sure that this is safe . . . .

HONOUR - Don't be silly, of course it's safe! It's just a Luck spell. I haven't accidentally turned anyone into frogs in ages.

CHIMAERA - Wat?

HONOUR - SUPER LUCK RAINBOW MAGIC!

Wow . . . srs casting face is srs.

Happy to say that the luck spell was successful. Honour then immediately glomped onto her husband and started kissing all over him.

CHIMAERA - Hey, what's this?

*into the bedroom*

HONOUR - I cast a luck spell on you, silly. So now you're about to 'get lucky.' Rawr.

CHIMAERA - . . . I'm not quite sure that's how the spell really works but screw it, I'll take the free woo-hoo.

The ghosts are getting into the snowman craze too. Mortimer decides to make a Grim Reaper Snowman in the graveyard.

It took me a little bit, but I eventually realized that Jocelyn had decided not to come home from school that day. Erm, Joce? It's twenty degrees outside and snowing heavily . . . don't you think it'd be a better idea to do your homework at home? Inside?

JOCELYN - That's for wimps. This will only empower me for my eventual world domination.

Turns out doing your homework outside the school in the snow in your everyday wear is a Goth family tradition though. Jocelyn ran into her cousins doing the exact same thing. The girl is Gwendolyn's eldest daughter Samantha. The boy is Henri's son Harold.

Disgusted that her individuality was being threatened, Jocelyn decided to go ahead and come home after all not long after that.

BEAU - And you see this cutie here? This is my granddaughter Christina!

ICHABOD - Uh . . . I'm your grand-kid too, y'know?

Something broke, so Bonehilda got released. Before she got around to fixing it, she decided to have herself a bracing drink.

MR. TUMNUS - *suffocated*

And, of course, setting out a plethora of quick-meals . . . *siiiiigh*

CHIMAERA - Hmm . . . it appears my unique parenting methods have paid off. Fascinating.

Video games bring everyone (in the Goth household) together, it seems.

KENSI - No fair! I can't play video games yet. D:

None of that crying for no reason, sir! I don't care how ridiculously adorable your pouty-face is! . . . ok, that's a lie. That pouty-face is of epic proportions.

I sometimes forget that Honour is a slob until she pulls this stuff. Licking a long-since abandoned plate of PB&J.

HONOUR - *long lick*

CHIMAERA - Huh . . . I find that I'm strangely aroused right now . . . *rolls wish to woo-hoo with Honour*

LAWL

He went to go play on the xylophone with Kensi instead (because Honour was still busy playing with alchemies) but he got Baby-Blocked by Bonehilda, who was still wandering around and neglecting to fix the dishwasher like I wanted. *silent fume*

Caitlyn came out to haunt that night, and I was especially excited when she made a bee-line for Beau . . . conveniently still in his undies.

Awweh yay! Autonomous former ghost-spouse lovin!

Yah, these two didn't mess around. ^_~

KENSI - Sheeeeeeep!

Cuuuuuuuuuuuute! Kensi is as skilled up as I can get him on autonomy, so we're just counting down the days til his next birthday.

But first!!! I got a notification that afternoon that Ichabod had made the Honor Roll! Yaaaaaaay! The first child since his great-grandmother Cassandra to do so! That's +5 points!

We're officially in the positives again!! Wooooo!

JOCELYN - . . . he's stealing my spotlight . . . my revenge will be swift and merciless.

JOCELYN - Yeeeessss, yesssss! No one will see it coming! You can never beat the classics of a space rocket after all! Huehuehuehuehue!

ICHABOD - . . . do I even want to know?

Probably not. O_o

Honour? What's with the stinky-face?

HONOUR - I just maxed Alchemy.

But that's a good thing! 2/3 skills complete, right?

HONOUR - Except for the fact that I'm still missing 7 potion recipes and researching does absolutely nothing now.

Yeah . . . I won't tell you how long I kept having her spam the 'Research Alchemy' function until I finally remembered that those last 7 recipes had to be learned from books. Because it's embarrassing. XD

ICHABOD - Jocelyn threatened to strap me to a rocket and shoot me into outer-space today, dad. Should I be worried?

BEAU - Oh snap, son!

CHIMAERA - What? Of course not! *nervous laugh* I'm sure your sister would never do something so crazy.

ICHABOD - . . . you don't 'sound' very sure, dad.

CHIMAERA - L-let's just watch the TV with grandpa, eh son?

It's holiday time in Moonlight Falls! The Goth Manor gets some hanging holiday lights to celebrate. Maybe one of these days I'll actually throw a holiday party at the house. Maybe. Eventually . . . probably not. I sux at sim parties. -_-

CHIMAERA - What?! No I will not go out on a date with you! I'm a happily married Genie! STFU!

Yeah, he still gets these calls pretty regularly. What can I say, apparently the Genie sells.

CHIMAERA - Beware, my son. The people of Moonlight Falls are apparently addicted to the Genie. They will all want you for your body, but you must somehow find the willpower to resist! For our power is like a drug, and they can all too easily become addicted to the rush . . .

KENSINGTON - Um . . . wat?

Jocelyn's Daddy-Senses informed her that he was paying attention to someone other than herself, so she promptly interrupted his tickling spam and insisted he come outside and help her build yet another snowman in the graveyard.

Success! I'm a little surprised she made a Classic one, I was expecting another Grim Reaper.

HONOUR - Yay Icky! I'm so proud of my little boy, on the Honor Roll!

Me too!

HONOUR - I mean, this is obviously a tribute to me! It has my name in it and everything.

Um . . . sure, sweetie. Whatever you want to believe.

FYI, poor Honour still gets kidnapped by aliens every other day. -_-* I'm guessing it has to be a perk of being Insane, because no other sim I've played currently has gotten abducted as much as she does.

Five generations later and Gunther's still getting hated on. Can't say I blame them. I still hold a grudge my own self. >_<

Meanwhile Mortimer decides to spend his night building an igloo. The ghosts are very active in the snow activities lately.

After he's finished, Honour decides to take Chimaera outside and test it's 'structural integrity.'

It managed to stay standing. ^_~

Then Mortimer cheerily went and woke up his great-great grandchildren for no good reason at all.

ICHABOD - Ohey, ghost. Cool.

JOCELYN - Eww! Unacceptable! Also, starving omppppp!

Then he went and decided to nap on Chimaera and Honour's bed, along with Starlight. It's a good thing Chi's sleeping in the igloo and Honour never sleeps.

It still amuses me greatly that witch children ride brooms with training wheels. Neither of them take the bus, as a result. They 'fly' themselves to school.

HONOUR - Watch out Kensi! Lefty is a killer! He has no morals, no remorse and he's COMING TO GET YOOOOOOOU!

KENSINGTON - What the crap?!

Honour has some . . . bonding time with her youngest.

Before going outside to wake her husband up out of the igloo and pelt him with a Job Booster potion. This is the only way he's going to manage to reach the top of the Fortune Teller career, since he needs Logic, Charisma and Personal Readings to advance and does none of those things on autonomy.

As you can see, it always amuses Honour to throw easily breakable objects at her husband, no matter the reason.

It's time for another birthday in the Goth House. This time Ichabod gets to move on to that wonderfully confusing, hormonal driven time of his teens.

Chimaera was at work, but everyone else turned out to cheer him on. Even Jocelyn, surprisingly.

JOCELYN - This cheer isn't for him, it's for the cake. Everybody loves birthday cake.

Tru-fax.

SPARKLE-TIME-ACTIVATE!

Boom, baby! Ichabod successfully transitions into a teenager, rolling the Natural Cook trait.

I'd also just like to say that I love that llama shirt. Love it. So. Much.

JOCELYN - So, I think you should come outside with me and help me build a snowman!

ICHABOD - So you can try to smother me in the snow? Yeah, nice try, Joce.

JOCELYN - . . . curses, foiled again.

Before we go, some updates with the spares! Deirdre's late-in-life son Cedrick has reached teenaged status. And sadly, Deirdre herself has passed away.

While Gwendolyn gave birth to her third child, another daughter named Tabitha.

Welp, that's it for this chapter! We're finally back in the positives as far as points are concerned! Will that trend continue, or will the Goths manage to fail me up again like always? Stay tuned to find out! Until then, happy simming!

EDIT - It has been brought to my attention that I've miscalculated the points (I'd act surprised, but seriously, I hate math and it hates me right back). We've actually been sitting in the positives for a while now, as there's an extra 10 points floating around uncounted. Thanks to Ulightupmylife for finding the error!
